Planned around how you'll use it
We set out the slab around posts, the roofline and any outdoor kitchen, so footings, drainage and services are where they need to be before the concrete goes down.
Falls are set so rain runs away from the house and off the slab, not into the back door.
Finishes that suit outdoor living
Exposed aggregate and coloured concrete are popular for alfresco areas. A smooth finish suits covered areas you plan to tile or furnish. We'll show you what each looks like before you decide.
Common questions
Can you pour around existing pergola posts?
Yes. We can work around existing posts or set out for new ones so the builder can fix them after the pour.
Should the slab be level?
Not quite. It needs a slight fall so water drains off. It won't be noticeable when you're using it.
